What did you do prior to IEM Charter Schools?

I have been in education since 2004. I was a classroom teacher before joining South Sutter and IEM.

How long have you been with IEM Charter Schools?

This is my 10th year! Hard to believe but as the saying goes, "time flies when youa re having fun!"

Where did you grow up?

I grew up in Pearblossom, CA in the Mojave Desert.

Where did you go to college?

I attended Chico State for undergraduate and graduate work.

Where do you live?

Sutter, CA

What areas do you serve for IEM Charter Schools?

I work for all three IEM schools so I serve all 18 counties that we cover.

What do you think is/are the best thing(s) about IEM Charter Schools?

We really have the most incredible staff and families! Our mission of supporting families as they embark on their perosnalized learning journey coupled with the awesome supports we have to help them really makes this an amazing place to work and learn.

What is your favorite read aloud book?

I love books by Mo Willems and Dav Pilkey.

What is your area of expertise?

My department is responsible for providing oversight in areas of charter compliance, governance, political relations, communications, social media and developing relationships with the authorizing school districts.

What is your dream summer vacation?

Bora Bora sounds amazing!

What do you like to do in your free time?

I love to travel and spend time with my family and friends. I am always up for anything that involves delicious coffee and people I care about. I currently serve on the Board of Directors for two local non-profits: Back The Badge Yuba-Sutter and Casa de Esparanza.
