ABOUT OUR PROGRAM
The goal of the California Cadet Corps at our school is to develop strong leadership skills, responsible citizenship, improve personal fitness, and learn how to work as a team in a junior military program. Students will learn how to wear a uniform, march as a unit, and solve problems together. As members of the 202nd Battalion of the California Cadet Corps students will also have the opportunity to participate in regional and state events challenging them to expand their perspectives, increase their mental and physical capacity, contribute to the success of a team and learn how to be leaders.
Our Program Objectives are:

- To encourage PATRIOTISM
- To foster ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE
- To teach BASIC MILITARY KNOWLEDGE
- To promote HEALTH, FITNESS, & WELLNESS
Who: This program is open to 4th through 12th graders. Students are not required to have a career interest in the military, but only an interest in learning how to be a part of a team. This program is led by Education Specialist Brendan McDonough.
Where: SSCS California Cadet Corps will meet at the Oroville National Guard Armory on Mondays and at the Folsom Science and Art in the Park location on Tuesdays.
